Business Overview | Chairman's Statement | Competitive Strength Our Achievements | Board Of Directors | Executive Officers | Group Structure     Mr Vincent Tan Chor Khoon has been our Director since 27 January 1995. He is the founder and Managing Director of our Company. Mr Vincent Tan is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning and business development of our Group. Mr Vincent Tan has over 15 years of experience in the F&B industry and was instrumental in the establishment, development and expansion of our Group’s business. Professor Low Teck Seng was appointed our Independent Director on 26 October 2004. Professor Low is the chairman of our Nominating Committee. He is currently a professor of electrical engineering at the National University of Singapore and the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Republic Polytechnic. Professor Low obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with first class honours from the University of Southampton in 1978 and a Doctor in Philosophy from the same university in 1982. He is a Chartered Engineer, UK, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Professor Low is currently a board member of the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore. Mr Kwah Thiam Hock was appointed our Independent Director on 26 October 2004. He is the chairman of our Audit Committee. Mr Kwah is an Independent Director on the Board of Wilmar International Ltd and Non-Executive Director of ECICS Limited and IFS Captal Limited. Mr Kwah graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Singapore in 1973. He is a Fellow Certifi ed Public Accountant of the CPA Australia and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. Mr Kwah is also a Fellow ACCA (UK). Mr Jack Tan Choh Peng has been our Director since 27 January 1995. Mr Jack Tan is a co-founder of our Group. He has over 15 years of experience in the F&B industry and was instrumental in the development of our Food Retail Division. Mr Jack Tan is responsible for overseeing the business and sales development strategies of our Food Retail Division. Mr Sim Beng Chye was appointed our Independent Director on 26 October 2004. He is the chairman of our Remuneration Committee. Mr Sim was the Executive Director and one of the founding members of Omni Industries Limited, an electronics manufacturing service provider. Mr Sim is also an Independent Director on the Board of First Engineering Limited, Nico Steel Holdings Limited and Spindex Industries Limited, and he is a Non-Executive Director of Nylect Technology Limited. Mr Sim graduated with a Diploma in Chemical Process Technology and has a Certificate in Industrial Management from the Singapore Polytechnic. Mr Sim also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Singapore Institute of Management. Mr Jorg Behrend was appointed our Director on 19 January 2007. Mr Behrend is the Chief Operating Officer of our Company and will assist the Managing Director in overseeing the overall management, strategic planning and business development of our Group. Mr Behrend has over 20 years of experience in the F&B industry and has held many senior management positions in internationally reputable hotel chains including Ritz-Carlton and Mandarin Oriental group in various countries.
